In response to the Secretary-General's Major Groups Questionnaire, Stakeholder Forum has collated a UK multi-stakeholder submission. These responses will inform the Secretary General's country reports for the Summit and shape the Summit agenda in the preparatory process.
Stakeholder Forum in partnership with the Scottish Sustainable Development Forum (SSDF), a division of the Sustainable Development Commission (SDC) Scotland, hosted multi-stakeholder dialogues to identify and discuss key issues and priorities in relation to a green economy. The discussions took place on 21st September 2010 and addressed the Secretary General's Questionnaire on this thematic area for Earth Summit 2012.
At the 65th Session of the General Assembly a Second Committee special event was held on 29 October 2010, "Advancing Sustainable Development: What Should Rio+20 Achieve?".
The 2nd UNITAR-Yale Conference on Environmental Governance and Democracy, in which Stakeholder Forum participated, was held on 17-19 September 2010 in New Heaven, Connecticut.
Executive Director of Stakeholder Forum, Felix Dodds has been invited to participate to the 'Green meets Digital' forum at the Cross Innovation Academy to discuss the following - 'Rio+20 – the opportunities for green innovation and new media'.
The Global Sustainability Panel's first meeting was held on 19 September 2010 at the UN Headquarters in New York, which saw members of the Panel outline a common vision and programme of work for the next 15 months.
