As an intellectual contribution to the preparations for Rio+20, Boston University's Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future commissioned a group of prominent experts to discuss the role of institutions in the actualization of a green economy in the context of sustainable development.


Stakeholder Forum in collaboration with Bioregional and the Earth Charter Initiative have produced a paper which consolidates a range of principles for the green economy, building on existing agreements and also emerging recommendations. The paper hopes to contribute to the emerging debate on defining principles for the green economy to ensure that it serves in the interest of sustainable development.
