Copa-Cogeca believes green growth is central to improve sustainable development.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><em>Excerpt from the Declaration: <\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>1. European farmers, forest producers and their cooperatives manage over three-quarters of the land in th EU and ensure food security for 500 million consumers by maintaining production capacity through the EU.<\/p>\n<p>2. In the EU-27, nearly 28 million people are employed on farms, with over 40 million working in the agri-food chain as a whole.
