{"id":795,"date":"2011-10-31T10:58:35","date_gmt":"2011-10-31T10:58:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/earthsummit2012.stakeholderforum.org\/2011\/10\/31\/iges-launches-website-qrio20-towards-and-beyondq\/"},"modified":"2011-10-31T10:58:35","modified_gmt":"2011-10-31T10:58:35","slug":"iges-launches-website-qrio20-towards-and-beyondq","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/earthsummit2012.stakeholderforum.org\/index.php\/iges-launches-website-qrio20-towards-and-beyondq\/","title":{"rendered":"IGES launches website &#8220;Rio+20: Towards and Beyond&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) has just launched its Rio+20 feature website with updates on IGES activities and policy messages from an Asia-Pacific perspective towards Rio+20.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>The IGES Proposal&nbsp;for Rio+20<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>IGES has been making substantial contributions to this Asia-Pacific regional and sub-regional preparatory process in North-East Asia, most recently by presenting a report on&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.iges.or.jp\/en\/news\/event\/isap2011\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ISAP2011 (International Forum for Sustainable Asia and the Pacific)<\/a> with key messages from IGES research on the themes and objectives of Rio+20.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The first draft of &#8220;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iges.or.jp\/en\/rio20\/proposal.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The IGES Proposal for Rio+20<\/a><\/strong>&#8221; was distributed at the Asian and Pacific Regional meeting for UNCSD(19-20 Oct. 2011, Seoul, Korea) for early review, and will be further developed for the submission of the final IGES Proposal to UNDESA by&nbsp;1 November&nbsp;as an input to the compilation document of the outcome document of Rio+20.
