{"id":928,"date":"2012-01-12T11:49:28","date_gmt":"2012-01-12T11:49:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/earthsummit2012.stakeholderforum.org\/2012\/01\/12\/bbcrb-rio-zero-draft\/"},"modified":"2012-01-12T11:49:28","modified_gmt":"2012-01-12T11:49:28","slug":"bbcrb-rio-zero-draft","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/earthsummit2012.stakeholderforum.org\/index.php\/bbcrb-rio-zero-draft\/","title":{"rendered":"Rio looks to the future &#8211; Richard Black, BBC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"introduction\">What might the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/science-environment-15600027\">Rio+20 summit<\/a> deliver?<\/p>\n<p>We have a little more idea now, following publication of <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.uncsd2012.org\/rio20\/content\/documents\/370The%20Future%20We%20Want%2010Jan%20clean.pdf\" rel=\"noopener\">the &#8220;zero draft&#8221; outcome document<\/a> for the June summit.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been compiled by the chairs of the preparatory process, following  a huge amount of dialogue and input from governments and other  interested parties.<\/p>\n<p>But with much more dialogue due, a lot can change between now and then.<\/p>\n<p>This Rio summit, like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.un.org\/geninfo\/bp\/enviro.html\">the last one 20 years ago<\/a>, isn&#8217;t part of the UN negotiations on climate change or biodiversity or desertification or anything else.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s bigger than that.
