The statement welcomes the strengthening in relations between Brazil and France, with both countries as actors in a \u2018new global governance\u2019. In this spirit, the statement highlights the opportunity afforded by an Earth Summit in 2012 to address global environmental governance. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cFrance fully supports the desire of Brazil to organize an Earth Summit in 2012, 20 years after the first Summit was held in Rio de Janeiro in 1992.
