Green Economy

The Green Economy has been identified as one of the key issues to be addressed by the Summit, in the UN General Assembly resolution that approved the Summit on 24th December 2009.

The green economy has risen dramatically up national and international agendas, being given particular impetus by the global recession that has demonstrated the many failures of our current global economic system.

Stakeholder Forum will be embarking upon a partnership with the new economics foundation (nef) to bring together stakeholders to push for ambitious outcomes on the green economy at Earth Summit 2012.

The joint Stakeholder Forum – nef initiative is called the ‘Global Green New Deal’ and will provide resources, updates, analysis and debate on advancing a Global Green New Deal towards Earth Summit 2012.
