Major Groups and Stakeholders Consultation on Green Economy – 26 October 2010
A series of consultations with Major Groups and stakeholders was held by the MGSB, Major Groups and Stakeholders Branch (MGSB) from 25th to 26th October 2010.
Two main topics were discussed, namely the International Environmental Governance (IEG) and the idea of a Green Economy (GE).
The expected outcome of the Consultation is to get policy recommendations from major groups and stakeholders on the potential for a Green Economy to address global development and environmental challenges. These inputs and feedback will be used thereafter to feed into the UN-Commission on Sustainable Development process and the Rio+20 preparatory process.
