The Co-Chair’s summary provides an overview of the points raised by governments and stakeholders during the first preparatory meeting for Earth Summit 2012.

The report is structured according to the agenda items that were scheduled:

  • Assessing the progress to date and the remaining gaps in implementation of the outcomes of the major summits on sustainable development

  •  Addressing new and emerging challenges

  • A green economy in the context of sustainable development and poverty eradication

  • Institutional framework for sustainable development
