African Development Bank and WWF team up for the environment in Africa

The African Development Bank (AfDB) and global conservation group WWF have come together to work closely on green economy and development issues in Africa. Both organizations signed a cooperative framework to this effect in Geneva on 20 July.

The heads of the two organizations agreed to highlight the growing links between environmental protection and sustainable development and the need to work on such issues as climate adaptation and mitigation, biodiversity, and ecosystems.
