Rio+20 Executive Coordinators appointed

The UN Secretary General has appointed Elizabeth Thompson (Barbados) and Brice Lalonde (France) as Executive Coordinators for the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development.

These appointments are at the Assistant Secretary-General level and they will support the Conference Secretary General in overseeing the preparation and organization of the Conference as well as fulfilling other duties and functions.
