Institutional Framework for Sustainable Development: SG’s Report for PrepCom1

The first Preparatory Meeting for the Summit that took place from 17th – 19th May 2010 in New York, provides a helpful overview of many of the issues addressed within the context of the ‘institutional framework for sustainable development.

More details on the substance of many of these issues, information on the evolution of particular ideas and proposals, and analysis of the degree of support commanded by each proposal are outlined in Stakeholder Forum’s forthcoming publication ‘The Pocket Guide to Sustainable Development Governance’. This guide is intended to act as a point of reference for governments and civil society, and is being produced in partnership with the Commonwealth Secretariat.
