During the event, Mr. János Pásztor, GSP Executive Secretary, will discuss the relevance of the GSP report and recommendations to the work of international financial institutions, such as the World Bank.

About the Speaker
Before assuming his current position, Mr. Pásztor led the UN Secretary-General’s Climate Change Support Team (2008 to mid-2010). Prior assignments in his career over the past 25 years have included work with the World Council of Churches, the World Commission on Environment and Development (the “Brundtland Commission”), the United Nations Environment Programme, the Stockholm Environment Institute, the Secretariat of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (or the “Earth Summit ’92”), the Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, and the UN Environment Management Group.
