Stakeholder Forum UK Stakeholder Meeting Report
On 15th July 2010 Stakeholder Forum brought together a diverse range of UK stakeholders to discuss the Rio+20 Earth Summit and the outcomes from the first preparatory meeting (PrepComm1), which took place in New York from 17th-19th May 2010.
The morning meeting took place at the Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church on Shaftesbury Avenue, London. Over 30 people participated in the meeting representing a range of organisations and groups, including NGOs, community groups, trade unions, government, business and many more.
There were presentations from Hannah Stoddart, Head of Policy and Advocacy at Stakeholder Forum; Felix Dodds, Executive Director at Stakeholder Forum; Derek Osborn, President of Stakeholder Forum and Jane Stratford, Defra. Stakeholder Forum will be hosting further meetings of UK stakeholders over the coming months to discuss and develop positions towards Earth Summit 2012.
